OK, it's now official.

Therapy? are headlining Backyard 3 on 28 Feb 2009.

For those of you who DON'T know of Therapy? This is the band that brought us 'Troublegum' back in the '90s, and played a major role influencing the rock scene since then.

The trio from Ireland have sold lots of records globally, and have toured the world a few times. They have been produced by the legendary Jack Endino, and are currently recording their twelfth studio album for worldwide release in February 2009.

Backyard 3 will be Therapy?'s first date on their new tour.

The original 8 bands from BY3 will be sharing the stage with this band, and - of course - sharing the backstage area..

Now it's time to spread the word and make Therapy? feel very welcome, and let's create an underground 'buzz' before our media campaign begins on 01 December 2008.

If you want to voulnteer to help with promotion of the event, we're looking for 'street teams' to be out there, spreading the word.

The 'street team' that is the hardest-working will get to party backstage with everyone.

Let's get the word spread, let's make history and - most importantly - let's show Mauritius that ROCK music concerts ARE successful.

Then we can talk about our next project - BY5...

How do we get in the 'Street Team'?

Now i guess everyone will want to be in the 'street team'...how about the press??

We are launching a press/media campaign in December, but we want people 'on-the-ground' immediately.

This is about proving a point to those giant corporations who have been telling us there is no support for rock music in this country.

Could ALL people interested in helping with the Street Teams please send an email to backyard@etg.mu with the following information:

Number of people in team
Are where you live/work and will operate
T-shirt sizes of each team member

Each team member will have a Backyard 3/Jack Daniels/Therapy? Street Team shirt given to them. These shirts cannot be bought, which will make them collectibles.

Please note, the Street Team effort is led by people who are passionate about making Backyard the biggest thing to happen in Mauritius.

Street Teams should be made up of 2-4 people per team.

Street Teams who perform well in their area will receive free tickets to BY3

The Street Team who performs the best will receive backstage VIP passes to BY3, to hang our and enjoy the day mixing with the bands (and yes - Therapy? as well).

It's a donation of time and effort and it involves spreading the word, and attracting people to the ticket-sales drives.

Just to let you all know that despite certain rumours about Backyard's future, BY3 IS going ahead on 28 February as planned.

There is a promotional operation planned for January and February that will get a lot of promotion for each of the bands involved.

And yes, Therapy? is still headlining this concert.
