En tout cas vous savez quoi ? Ce forum aura au moins permis une chose déjà, c'est de favoriser des échanges entre des personnes qui ne se connaissaient pas, et qui pour certains, pouvaient avoir un a priori négatif sur les autres. Et lever ces malentendus, ça c'est déjà faire un grand pas en avant

In 5 years , the kids who are now performing in our local bands , are most likely to be miles away from the scene.
Like someone mentioned earlier , they would surely be still students , maybe working somewhere , or even married and so on.
Unfortunately , some of us would most certainly be disconnected from the music and a new breed of high school kids shall take over.
But this is MAURITIUS , that is what happens here , what did we expect?!?
Nobody should react like this is something new to us , get real people!


Instead of trying to look in a broken magic 8-ball to see the future , our attention should be focused on the HERE and the NOW.
What can we do to improve the scene here, you ask. So many things can be done.
I would personally love to see older (i mean more EXPERIENCED , no disrespect to anyone!) bands sharing the stage with younger bands. Wouldn't it be nice to have bands like Feedback (the pioneers) and XBreed (currently carrying the Mauritian ROCK flagship) , playing on the same bill as Haze or Skeptikal ? Don't you agree , Mr TDR , Mr Kosso , Mr JP F. and Mr Hansley R. ?
How could we make this happen , you wonder... Well , this would be purely based on the love of music , cooperation , goodwill , dedication , hard work , and the good faith of everyone involved. Once again , congratulations to Mr TDR , who has set up this forum , slowly but surely expanding our horizons and of course , everyone here is getting the chance (PLEASURE and HONOR in my case) to get to know more and more people in our tiny rock community. This might be the perfect place to start. We should all settle our differences and work towards the same goal , which is to promote this music and having fun too. If things work out , we will all be proud to be part of a long-awaited rock festival which I am positive everyone is dreaming of...


I don't really think that we can afford to have a rock and a metal community. As far as I know , there is only one community. Therefore , whether you play black metal or alternative rock , this still counts as the one and only Mauritian rock community.


Just thought of sharing my views with anyone willing to listen (or read in that case).
