Read some critics about it....they say the film is good but not THAT good...
Some said that when you look at the movie, it looks very obvious that the whole shooting was done under difficult conditions
The shooting locations, many of them authentic, were subject to 'Tensions' with authorities and from the public
Well, talking about Nazis is often controversial...remember the 'Amen' Motion
Picture???

Waouh!

here is an explanation of the new camera...

http://www.funhous3.com/691/James_Camer ... 3D_camera/

In fact when Cameron did Titanic he had already projected himself 10 years ahead. There's a shot when the Titanic left the harbor with a long travelling where you see the crew manling and working on the ship everything you saw if fully digital...but he was never satisfied with this shot as the subjects look a bit clunky in their motion.

Then he shot "Ghost of the Abyss"where he also perfected motion like astronauts will do to simulate the negative G of space...then he went into space to once again work on motion.

Back on Earth he worked with both Sony and Panavision.

Lot of Directors has waited long to shoot movies because the available Technology was too limited.

1.Collateral

2.Miami vice

3.Superman Returns

Michael Mann worked 5 years with Sony so that he can shoot these 2 movies. All shots In Collateral are at night and MV mostly day(entire movie is in digital)

http://www.cinematographers.nl/THEDoPH4.htm

http://www.sony.co.uk/biz/view/ShowCont ... 3315655019

Brian Singer worked with Panavision before Superman Returns, the movie was shot in digital with the new Genesis.

http://www.panavision.com.au/News/Genes ... perman.htm

All these movies were shot in digital then Transfered to 35MM but the dvds and Blu ray are from the digital source.

Peter Jackson did not have enough time to perfect his work with The Red Cinema cameras before shooting LOTR,only a few shots were done.

I don`t shoot movies to be viewed on cellphones... Jim Cameron
