Okay, we're nearly having the radio to be working thanks to Jevin and Morph.. We will need to buy server space to host it, but that is a matter of days, so be ready as most probably in one / two week/s we'll be the first Mauritian Rock / Metal Community to have its own radio.

Now we have a couple of requests for you people and shall appreciate if you could contribute to making this Radio and IRC Channel happen and working.

1. We need a name for the Radio and got some proposals already (Guerilla Radio, Rockstation, Rockmu FM, ROAR FM - Radio Of All Rockers -) and would like to have some more before starting a poll.. Yes, YOU will choose how you want to name YOUR radio..

2. We need logos. All those graphic designers and those who think can bring something worth, prepare your brushes and help us have the most appropriate logo for our radio.

3. We're in need of DJs. Although we are 3 for the time being, we wanted to have 6-7 DJs + 1 permanent one. We're open to all the rock types (though we won't be limited to rock - that is debatable). Donc, if you are willing to do something for our community, send your request to Morph, Jevin or myself or join irc.rizon.net (channel #rockmu) - still empty, we created it 2hrs ago:P.

Rockstation ek roar fm exister deja,quand a guerilla radio c'est 1 talkshow et un forum aussi ena sa nom la,donc pour le moment nom qui plis rentrer reste Rock.mu FM ou Rock.mu Radio et en plis c nom forum la,mais bon reste a faire un poll pou koner ki la majorite p roder,lerla kapav pense logo etc.

rockmu.fm mou trouve li serye ....rockmu .radio aussi pas mal..mais faire un peu trop radio one lol

Just a follow up on the DJ part of my first post. We managed to secure 5 DJs for the time being and we need 3 additional ones, one for Punk rock (maybe this one vacancy's gonna be filled in the coming hours), True / Power / Progressive (nobody has shown up for this one) and the last one is going to be a permanent DJ, i.e. one who will be casting most of the time (apart le soir).

btw about the legal side, eski bizin ale masa pou pran permission? akoz pou dvd skate la zot ti avek arvind ke bizin permission bane bands la pou diffuse ou servi zot misik, ek pou bans artist etrangers mo pa koner koma bizin fer? akoz once mo ti ale radio + pou 1 emission, ek zot ti dir me zot bizin ena cd original pou kpav diffuser...Si some1 ena some info lor la

Mo pensé ki zot besoin tel la MASA pou pouvoir gagne plus l'information, demain o boulot, mo pou saye get ca un coup....
Bien sur, si pou passe bane groupes mauriciens sur la radio, tou sa bane groupes la besoin register à la MASA....
Pour la radio, je sais qu'il faut que le nom soit 'register' à la MASA, (pour ki personne pas coquin li) et puis je crois qu'il faut signer un contract, puisque bien sûr, il faut un accord pour diffuser les chansons de tous ces artistes en toute légalité....
Mais bon, je dois appeler les gars de là-bas pour plus de détails....un peu de patience....
En ce qui concerne les CDS originaux, je sais très bien que ce n'est pas le cas dans quelques radios ici à Maurice...alors franchement....
